Light is such an important element of interior design; it greatly affects the mood, ambiance, and functionality of any space!

There are several types of lighting that can be used in interior design, including:
- Ambient lighting: This type of lighting provides overall illumination to a space and helps to create a sense of warmth and comfort. Examples of ambient lighting include overhead fixtures and wall sconces.
- Task lighting: Lights in this category are used to assist with specific tasks, such as reading or cooking. Task lighting is usually brighter and more focused than ambient lighting and is often provided by floor lamps, table lamps, or under-cabinet lights.
- Accent lighting: This type of lighting is used to highlight certain features or elements in a space, such as artwork or architectural features. Accent lighting can be provided by spotlights, track lighting, or recessed lighting.
- Natural lighting: Natural lighting is provided by the sun and can greatly affect the mood and ambiance of a space. It is important to consider the direction and intensity of natural light when designing a space, and to use window treatments such as curtains or blinds to control the amount of light that enters a room.
