Pay attention to the color schemes in successful restaurants and eateries and you will see a recurrence of warmer-based shades such as reds, oranges or deeper yellows. That is because these shades tend to energize and stimulate the appetite.
On the other hand, blue is a color that is known to suppress your appetite and purple or lavender shades can even induce the feeling of nausea. So be careful of using too much of either of these shades in your dining areas.
