This family’s terrace level bar was created in 2000; though it was certainly still functional, the design had become quite dated. When they decided it was time for a makeover, they gave our team a call.
After meeting with the homeowners, discussing the project, and getting final approval, our first step was to refinish the bar front. We professionally lacquer-painted all cabinetry in Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray #7016. Then we replaced all cabinet hardware with brushed nickel pulls and knobs.
The next step involved quite a few changes to the bar interior and back. First, we removed back bar shelving to encourage a more sleek and modern look and feel. We replaced existing wall tile where needed and then painted all of the tiles in Sherwin Williams Naval #6244. More light was needed in order to brighten up this area, so we added additional ceiling lighting.
Next, we replaced the countertops with semi-exotic granite in a color called Blue Dunes; the tile wall color certainly brings out the blue tone in the granite to beautiful effect! The bar sink and faucet needed an update as well, so we replaced them with Kohler Purist in vibrant stainless steel.
